DMOC Attorneys Recognized as Connecticut Super Lawyers for 2012

November 14, 2012

Diserio Martin O’Connor & Castiglioni LLP is proud to announce that three of the firm’s attorneys were recently named to the Connecticut Super Lawyers list and Rising Stars list for 2012 as leaders in their respective practices. The annual Super Lawyers list consists of exceptional lawyers from various practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The Rising Stars list includes the state’s top up-and-coming attorneys.

The following DMOC attorneys were selected, listed with their cited practice areas:

Super Lawyers

Richard E. Castiglioni (Civil Litigation Defense, General Litigation, Family Law)

Jonathan P. Whitcomb (Insurance Coverage, Civil Litigation Defense)

Rising Stars

Jonathan J. Kelson (Business Litigation)

The list of attorneys recognized as Super Lawyers appears in the November 2012 issue of New England Super Lawyers Magazine, and the special section appearing in the February 2013 issue of Connecticut Magazine.

Super Lawyers, a service of the Thomson Reuters legal division, selects attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase rating process. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis, and the final published Super Lawyers list represents no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement: verdicts and settlements; transactions; representative clients; experience; honors and awards; special licenses and certifications; position within law firm; bar and or other professional activity; pro bono and community service as a lawyer; scholarly lectures and writings; education and employment background; and other outstanding achievements. The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, except that candidates must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less, and candidates do not go through the process of peer evaluation by practice area. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list. For more information, please visit www.superlawyers.com.
